To do this your organisation will need to complete an Employer Application Form and return it to us for processing.

Once we have received the form we will provide the organisation with a Login to the SalaryPackagingCards.com.au Online Services and also provide your organisation with the necessary employee forms, Information Manuals and salary packaging calculator.

Your organisation will be advised once the application process for your organisation is complete and staff will then be able to directly apply for their individual cards from Community Salary Packaging.

Each time we receive an application from your staff we will need someone in your organisation to authorise the setup of their card.  This contact is known as the verification officer who will approve each application as it is applied for.

After your employee recieves their card from ANZ you should ensure you have the necessary salary sacrifice agreements in place with your employee and you can then begin to deduct money from your employee’s gross salary to be paid onto their card.

This gives your staff easy access to their tax free salary packaging money and reduces the amount of administration (e.g. collection of receipts / payment of bills) that your payroll or finance team needs to complete to ensure your staff are receiving fringe benefits.

The Community Salary Packaging card program utilises the products and services of ANZ to provide employees in the non profit sector with tax free general expense benefits.

In summary the Community Salary Packaging General Expense Card:

• Is a VISA Card
• Is supplied by ANZ
• Comes with full ATO Class Rulings
• Sends FREE SMS balance updates to card holders each time there is a deposit on the card
• Provides employees with online access to a comprehensive ANZ card holder portal for access to

*     Online transaction disputes &
*     Online management of SMS service

• Allows employees to access 24 hour phone banking
• Allows employees to check card balances at ANZ ATMs
• Provides employees with Type 2 GST Free Fringe Benefits
• Allows employees to use the cards with no need to keep receipts
• Enables employees of Public Benevolent Institutions (PBI’s) & Health Promotion Charities to salary sacrifice $16,050 per FBT year without incurring any FBT
• Enables employees of Public / Private Hospitals to salary sacrifice $9,094 per FBT year without incurring any FBT
• Enables employees of Rebateable Organisations to salary sacrifice $16,050 whilst only attracting concessional FBT tax rates
• Blocks employees from withdrawing cash
• The card may be used to purchase items such as the following (not an exclusive list):

The Meal Card product is setup with eftpos vendor blocks so employees can only use the card at Restaraunts and Cafe’s to purchase food and drinks.

The Community Salary Packaging Card Program uses the services of ANZ to provide salary packaging cards that are secure and backed by one of Australia’s biggest banks.

ANZ has invested heavily in products for the non profit sector and built a dedicated salary packaging card product with full ATO Class Tax Rulings to ensure that non-profit organisations have the assurance of a well supported and streamlined salary packaging card product.

Community Salary Packaging is not part of ANZ, however uses the ANZ salary packaging card product to provide non profit organisations with direct access to what we consider to be the most comprehensive salary packaging card product on the market.

The ANZ cards are credit cards that use the VISA network to make payments online, over the phone and through EFTPOS point of sale systems.

ANZ provides cardholders with 24 hour access to their statements through the ANZ web portal at www.anz.com.au/salarypackaging.

They also provide card holders with FREE SMS’s each time a deposit is made onto a card or they can contact ANZ on their dedicated salary packaging card information line.
